Living in Cyprus

Moving to a new country is a major decision and you should research your choice carefully before making any firm commitments. To help you decide whether Cyprus is the right place for you, the British High Commission has compiled an information pack, "Living in the Republic of Cyprus", which we hope answers many of your questions.

Age Concern has just launched the living abroad section on their website.  It includes some basic tips on how best to plan prior to moving, a moving abroad checklist, as well as a podcast giving a first hand account of what it's like to move abroad (the current podcast is based on experiences in France). More podcasts will be added. The aim is for the section to continue to develop and in the coming months will feature a country specific section. This section will allow people to read about specific issues in their chosen country and provide names of organisations that they can contact for further advice and information.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) offers valuable general guidance and advice to British Nationals who are considering moving abroad. See the FCO’s travel advice, where you will also be able to download the leaflet "Going to live abroad".
